Euphemism

We have many euphemisms in Arabic language similar to some expressions in English. Adding to that, we call an old people by "Father" or "Mother".  We don't call who is older than us by his first name, we call him by his father's name such as (son of "his father's name"). Also, if someone is bothering us by his behavior, we don't stop him directly, usually we tell him "relax, we think you are tired".

The Disparity in Services in My Country

Each country has good points and bad points in different fields. The disparity between points depends on country experiences in each field.  The countries who had been in wars have more good points than bad ones.  My country did not involve in any of world wars. Until about 110 years ago, It was kind of many of tribes did not belong to a government or a governor. The tribes was involving in civilian wars between it for food or security reasons. For that, there are few leaders who have a good experience, and many services did not reach the required level which considered as bad points.

However, last 20 years my country discovered that many leaders have not enough experience to push their departments forward. For that, it started to send many students and junior employees out of country to get better education in some specialists and more experience.

Until now, citizens are still facing many disappointed services from some governmental department. However, there are marked progress in some services which started to get benefits of King education program, which motivates government’s departments to send junior employees out of country to get different experience.

My Parent

I grew up with my parents in my grand father house. We left to a new house when I had 15 years old. My father was so strict. My mother was between strictness and softness, but she tend to be little serious.  All the time I was avoiding my parents because my grand father was in my side.  I was under my grand father eyes all the time. He took me to his farm every day.  He was tough with me. He pushed me to work with him in the farm when I had 8 years old. I accepted that because I loved going to the farm and swimming in the swimming-pool every evining.  I couldn't realized that I grew up more than some kids who we have the same age at that time.  I got a lot of lessions in this life from him. the most importatnt thing I learn it, It is how to become patient front difficult situations.

My Dream Job

I dreamed to be a programmer in Information Systems Security domain and to join programming experts elite in my country. In high school there are two paths to study. The paths were scientific studies and literary studies. I chose to study scientific studies as first step on the way to be programmer. By this choice, I determined my future by eliminating some colleges and universities, for example, who graduated from literary studies is not allowed for him to enroll in technical or medicin colleges. During my studying in high school, I put that goal front of me all the time. In 1997, I graduated from high school and I got the required scores to enroll in Computer Science College. I studied Information Systems in Computer Science college in King Saud University. After four years, I graduated from the university with very good GPA. I got many good offers from big companies, but I prefered to work in governmental department to have specific experience. For more than seven years, I never forgot my goal or hesitated to reach it.    I was waiting the suitable opportunity to complete my studying and to get Master’s Degree in Information Systems.
After mid of Last year, I got the approval to study in United State and to get Master’s Degree in the same specialist. Then I started to complete American's Visa requirements for me and my family. On January 2012, I traveled to California to study English and to complete some requirements to be qualify for studying master degree. Since I moved to California, I have been studying English in California State University Fullerton - American Language Program. I finished some requirements. When I complete the rest of the requirements, I can start studying in the university and continuing my plan to reach my goal.

Unforgettable Gift

The best graduation gift I got it was from my father when I finished the high school with high scores. In the first twelve years of my primary education, I was hand-work student and I got good scores at the end of each year. My father was proud of me. I was expecting a simple gift from him as graduation gift. Usually the gifts are unpretentious such as laptops, smartphones or short trips to some cities in close countries.

When I started studying in the high school, My father pushed me to study hard to have very high scores at the end of that year. I told him my plan is to study computer science for undergraduate degree. That was my motivation and I aimed to make it happened, and my father was happy for me.

One day, my father asked me "what is the best car I preferred for me to have ?". I told him about BMW 7 serious and how it is big and safety to drive fast. I didn't realize the goal of that question.

At the end of that year (high school), I brought the high school certificate with high scores. I was one of the best ten students in my school. My school manager talked to my father by phone and congratulated him for my graduation. My father was so happy, and he started inviting my family members for a party.

My father decided to hold the party in our farm. The farm has many facilities such as swimming-poll, soccer field, and tent (to make fire). also the farm has some kinds of fruit trees and palms. In the party day, the people started coming at 6 pm, and I was watching the arrangements by myself to make sure every thing runs smoothly, because I am the oldest son between my five brothers and two sisters. We had a lot of fun at that evening, and the guests enjoyed with our farm facilities. During all the party time, I was thinking about the graduation gift.
I expected it would be a short trip to Egypt or to Dubai, because my father already gave me cellphones and laptops as gifts before.
When it was11:00 pm, there were some of my uncles and cousins still in the farm. My father and I were chatting with the guests. My father called me and gave me a small box front of the audience and he excused to make the gift small in that time !!. "After a long time of expectations, I got small box ?!" I told myself.  I was disappointed, because I anticipated that small box would have a watch while I wasn't taking care of watch's at that time. Front of the audiences, I wasn't sure if I could show my father some of my happy facial expressions or not. When I opened that box, I found BMW car key. I didn't believe that, and I expected that it was a joke of my father. I looked to his eyes to be sure if that gift would be a car or was just a key. He asked me to bring the car from out side. I couldn't believe him, but I have to listen to him. I run to the farm gate to see if that was true. When I opened the gate, I saw blue BMW 530 car model 1999. I was stunned and I wasn't sure if that car would be mine. It was an incredible and an unexpected gift. I spent more than 5 minutes to walk around it. I turned it on and drove it inside the farm. I found the guests were standing and waiting me to bring it. I stopped the car and I run fast to my father and I kissed his head and hugged him. I was almost crying. it was unforgettable moments. ( Thank you DAD )

Unforgettable Gift

I will never forget the moment my father bought a new BMW car for me. After I graduated from high school , my father made a small party for me, and he invited many of my family members. The party placed in our farm and we had fun until midnight. When the party was close to finish, my father gave me a small box and he told me it is my graduate gift. At that moment, I was disappointed because I expect bigger gift while that box was very light. Then my father convinced me to open it. I wasn't excited but I have to listen to my father. When I opened it, I was surprised. It was a key for BMW car. It was unforgettable moment.
